Our company is a 100% Australian family owned business which is locally owned and operated by Jim and Janet Mueller. Both have grown up and have lived in the Nepean Valley their whole lives and are passionate about their local area and community.
In 2014, Jim and Janet decided to open their own business, Nepean Valley Funerals. This allowed them the freedom to offer families a high level of personal service at fair prices. Jim had previously worked for a number of prominent funeral directors since a young age, but it was always his dream to run his own funeral home and with the support of his wife, Janet they made it happen. To date we have helped many hundreds of families through tough times and made many friends along the way. We receive a lot of return business and referrals from our families which is heartwarming.
We have a strong relationship with clergy and celebrants and a fantastic, trusted team of professionals who can assist with orders of service, mass booklets, photo slideshows, singers, musicians and much more. We are also a Preferred Partner for Catholic Cemeteries & Crematoria.
Our office is located at Shop 4/2-6 Castlereagh Street, Penrith. We also have our own brand new, fully approved mortuary facility and modern custom-built Dual Cab Hearse.
Our logo focuses on the concept of life and family, with the inclusion of a tree graphic that forms a crest. The symbolism of the tree can be interpreted in many ways, the tree of life, the family tree, growth and strength to name a few. All providing positivity in a time of loss. The soft blue tone that resembles the sky shining through to the tree to create a circular crest silhouette. This colour promotes optimism.

Yes, Nepean Valley Funerals own and operate their own mortuary facility, fully approved by the Department of Health and is solely used by our company.
